The adaptive cycle engine is a representative of the new generation of efficient internal combustion engines, breaking the technical bottleneck of traditional engines with fixed cycle modes and single operating conditions. It can switch the thermal cycle in real-time based on driving load, speed, and temperature, balancing power performance and fuel economy. It is the core upgrade technology for fuel engines and hybrid systems.

1、 Multi cycle dynamic switching technology

Traditional engines can only fix Otto or Atkinson single cycle and cannot accommodate full speed range conditions. The adaptive cycle engine relies on an intelligent valve mechanism and can switch freely between the Otto cycle, Atkinson cycle, and Miller cycle. When operating at low speeds and light loads, the Atkinson cycle is used to reduce pumping losses and save fuel; Switching to the Otto cycle during high-speed rapid acceleration improves inflation efficiency and releases peak power.

2、 Variable compression ratio core technology

Variable compression ratio is the core highlight of this machine, which dynamically adjusts the piston stroke and compression ratio through eccentric shaft and variable connecting rod structure. Improve compression ratio, enhance combustion efficiency, and reduce daily fuel consumption under low load conditions; Reducing compression ratio under high load conditions effectively avoids detonation problems without sacrificing power performance, solving the technical shortcomings of traditional engines with fixed compression ratios.

3、 Intelligent valve timing adjustment technology

Equipped with a global variable valve timing and lift system, it can flexibly control the duration, degree, and timing of valve opening. Accurately matching the intake requirements of different working conditions, optimizing the combustion state of the cylinder mixture, reducing residual exhaust gas, improving combustion charge, and improving engine idle stability and low-speed response speed.

4、 Global electronic control collaborative control technology

The engine electronic control unit collects real-time data on vehicle speed, load, oil temperature, intake pressure, etc., judges driving conditions in milliseconds, and automatically matches the optimal cycle mode and parameters. At the same time, the collaborative fuel injection system, cooling system, and exhaust gas recirculation system work together to ensure smooth and seamless mode switching, balancing power, fuel consumption, and emissions.

Compared to traditional engines, adaptive cycle engines solve the problem of balancing power and fuel consumption, expanding the efficient working range. With the continuous maturity of technology, this technology will be widely applied to fuel vehicles and hybrid models, becoming a key direction for energy-saving upgrades of internal combustion engines.
