The cylinder block is the basic skeleton of the engine, carrying core components such as pistons and crankshafts, and can withstand high temperatures, high pressures, and mechanical impacts for a long time. Proper daily maintenance and upkeep can reduce faults such as deformation, cracks, and wear, effectively extending the overall service life of the engine.

1、 Daily maintenance of cooling system

The cooling system is the key to protecting the cylinder block. Regularly check the coolant level in daily life, choose antifreeze that matches the specifications, and avoid using water to replace it, which may cause inner wall rust and scale accumulation. Replace the coolant on time to prevent pipeline blockage from affecting heat dissipation. Pay attention to changes in water temperature while driving. If a high temperature alarm occurs, immediately stop and cool down to troubleshoot the problem, prevent the engine from overheating for a long time, and avoid deformation and cracking of the cylinder block due to heat.

2、 Lubrication system standard maintenance

Adequate and clean engine oil can reduce friction loss between the cylinder wall and piston. Strictly replace the engine oil and oil filter according to the cycle, and eliminate the use of inferior oil products. Daily check the oil level of the engine, replenish it in a timely manner if the oil level is insufficient, and prevent dry grinding and damage to the inner wall of the cylinder due to lack of oil. Regularly clean the impurities in the engine oil passage to ensure smooth oil flow and sufficient lubrication of all friction parts, reducing the probability of cylinder wear.

3、 Key points for daily use protection

Avoid keeping the vehicle hot for extended periods of time when starting, and do not forcefully press the accelerator and drive under high load during the cold phase to reduce the internal stress caused by sudden changes in cylinder temperature. Smooth handling during heavy load climbing to avoid overloading the engine and increasing the burden on the cylinder block. During the driving process, try to avoid bumps and dents to prevent external damage and deformation of the cylinder body, which may damage the overall structural accuracy.

4、 Regular inspection and troubleshooting

During maintenance, check for any signs of oil or water leakage on the surface of the cylinder block, and inspect the sealing status of the cylinder gasket. When abnormal cylinder pressure and significant decrease in power are detected, promptly check the degree of cylinder wall wear. When disassembling and repairing, follow the standard torque operation to prevent uneven force on bolts from causing deformation of the cylinder body. Minor malfunctions should be repaired as soon as possible to prevent them from escalating into serious damages such as cylinder damage or scrapping.

The maintenance of cylinder block focuses on daily details, controlling the two cores of cooling and lubrication, standardizing driving habits, regularly checking hidden dangers, in order to maintain good working conditions of the cylinder block and ensure stable and reliable operation of the engine.
